HEERA’s AGM on friday elected 3 new members to its exec: Jon Cheek (University of Birmingham), Simon Fairbanks (Coventry University) and UCEA’s Andy Fryer.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Higher Education External Relations Association (HEERA) will be held on:
Friday 9th December 2011, 11am-1pm
To be held in 5th floor meeting room, National Union of Journalists (NUJ) Building, Headland House, 308-312 Gray’s Inn Road
LONDON WC1X 8DP for the following purposes:
Ordinary Resolutions
To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolutions which will be proposed as Ordinary Resolutions:
To receive the Chairman’s Report, Treasurers Report and the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2010, together with the reports thereon of the Executive Committee and Auditors.
To consider the re-appointment of Auditors of the Company until the conclusion of the next general meeting of the Company at which accounts are laid before the members.
To consider elections to HEERA Executive Committee from the nominations received.
Any other business
To transact any other business permissible under the rules of HEERA.

Membership renewals and applications can now be made to the European Universities Public Relations and Information Officers Association (EUPRIO).
The association celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2011 with a conference in Prague in September. The conference will focus on ways to improve communications in the field of knowledge transfer from research to practice. More details will be available shortly.
For the UK apply for 2011 membership to either Nic Mitchell, the UK Steering Committee member, or Christopher Coe, the Deputy UK Steering Committee member.
